This site, lovemebook.com, is run by Mahashwar, the author of Love Me Love, Me. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and what you can do about it. I have tried to say it plainly.
What I collect
What you give me. If you join the waiting list, you enter your email address and, if you choose, your name. That is all the form asks for. If you email me at info@lovemebook.com, I receive your email address and whatever you write.
What is collected automatically. Like most websites, the servers that deliver this page can record technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. Analytics (see below) also records general visit information.
How I use it
- To tell you when the book is available.
- To offer early access to workshops and related work, and to send occasional updates about the book.
- To answer your emails.
- To understand how many people visit the site, where they come from and which parts are useful, so I can improve it.
I do not sell your information. I do not rent it or trade it.
Who handles it
I use a few services to run the site. They process information on my behalf and have their own privacy policies.
- Mailchimp stores the waiting list and sends the emails. It receives your email address and name, and it may also record details such as your IP address, when you signed up, and whether you open or click emails. See Intuit Mailchimp's privacy statement.
- Google Analytics measures traffic on this site, including where visitors come from. It sets cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and the pages you view, and it sends that to Google. See Google's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site. Your browser requests them from Google, which means Google receives your IP address.
- Web hosting is provided by Namecheap, which delivers the site and keeps standard server logs.
I may also share information if the law requires it. Your information is processed in the United States, where these services operate.
Cookies
This site does not set its own cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device to tell visits apart. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. You can also install Google's opt-out browser add-on.
How long I keep it
I keep your email address and name on the waiting list until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them. Emails you send me are kept as long as I need them to reply and for ordinary record keeping.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email.
- Ask me to see, correct or delete what I hold about you by writing to info@lovemebook.com. I will respond as soon as I can.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, such as in California, the European Union or the United Kingdom. Write to me and I will do my best to honor them.
Children
This site and the waiting list are meant for adults. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, tell me and I will delete it.
Security
I use reputable services and take reasonable care with your information. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so I cannot promise absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If I change how the site handles information, I will update this page and the date at the top.
